The Campagnolo Contax headset was introduced in 1991 and was found in both the Icarus and Centaur groups of that year and the year after. With rubber O rings on the crown race and upper cup offering some weather protection and Campagnolo’s great quality bearings and races these were typical of their mountain bike parts – overbuilt, slightly old fashioned and tough.
