Description
The Croce D’Aune group sat below Campagnolo’s ‘new’ C (for Corsa) Record group in the late 80s and into the first part of the 90s. The group was short-lived but had some wonderful, if not always practical parts, especially the Delta brakes. This rear hub has the oil port of all high end Campagnolo hubs of the period but with the addition of an odd bulge in the middle, it was available right before Campagnolo went to offering cassettes and freehubs so is designed for a standard freewheel. The 130 mm spaced hub will take up to an 8 speed freewheel, 6 and 7 speed are appropriate and easier to find though.
The finish on these hubs is excellent and the quick release lever is a thing of beauty that works very well, as you’d expect from the company that first marketed it!
