The Tektro fork mounted brake cable stop is ideal on tandems, touring and mountain bikes where the vibrations caused by the front cantilever brake can lead to judder at the front wheel and noisy brakes. By stopping the cable outer nearer the brake itself there is less flax in the system which cuts down on problems with vibrations. Similar in design to the hanger that used to come on Kona MTBs throughout the 1990s the cable stop requires you to have a drilled for crown for installation.
