Combining low weight with improved braking performance the Mavic M261 Ceramic was a top of the line rim in the early 90s, and slightly wider than the M231. Equally at home on a high end race machine or a 26″ wheel touring bike, the Mavic M261 was a benchmark of tough, lightweight mountain bike rims. The ceramic coated version was available in 1992 and 1993 only, and we don’t have many of them!
