Sitting just below Deore XT in Shimano’s 1991 line up Deore DX was a short-lived but very competent groupset offering the technology of the top of the line group but at a more affordable price point. The new for 1991 low profile BR M650 cantilever brake was very similar in appearance to the M732 XT brake introduced the year before and offered the same good quality parts and better heel clearance of it’s more expensive stable mate. This set is complete with straddle cables, original Shimano brake blocks and instructions and is enough for one bike, front and rear.
Though designed as a Mountain bike brake these work very well on touring and cyclocross bikes too offering easy set up and good heel clearance.
