Description
This wonderfully made, hard to find SABA Dilettante D.L saddle features a plush leather top and handy tension adjustment underneath. With a copper rivet to hold the frame taught on each side and a subtle logo this would be a great finishing touch to a period race machine. SABA were the UK importers of Columbus, Cinelli and other high-end Italian brands through the 70s and 80s and made a small number of products with their own branding on. This saddle is presumably (not so subtly) aimed at the keen amateur, hence the dilettante name and was probably made in Italy. The saddle also has luggage tabs which can be folded down for carrying a saddle bag.
Please note this saddle is new old stock and unused however it does feel a little bumpy on the top underneath the leather, I suspect that if it were tensioned this would be fixed. The leather is in fine, supple shape.
