Description
Original Shimano made Deore XT SLR brake cable set with 6.0 mm outer cable and 2.0 mm inner cables for late 80s/early 90s MTBS. Introduced with the 1989 ‘Deore XT II’ groupset SLR was supposedly a more powerful lever and cantilever design, the cables are the same as the older sets though these have the gold lettering on them rather than silver.
These sets have have shorter outer sections than the previous kits so are unfortunately not suitable for a full outer run to the rear brake.
- 2.0mm inner cable, 6.0mm outer
- Front = 36 cm outer, 121 cm inner
- Rear = 36 cm and 21 cm outer, 121 cm inner

- Comes with two end caps but no ferrules
- Includes the ‘C’ washer for older brake levers with a large cable end hole
