Awesome downhill specific front hub from Canada

Description

The Syncros Hardcore DH front hub is one of a clutch of products that were designed to be used in the increasingly popular format of dedicated downhill racing. Painted in what we should refer to as ‘Judy DH red’ after Rock Shox’s World-beating long travel (80 mm IIRC!) fork introduced in 1995, this hub was one of a number of parts Syncros released in around 1996 in the red colour.

As well as looking cool, the hub is designed to be super stiff, the axle can be bolted into the dropouts using the supplied titanium nuts (or run as a normal quick release) and the axle itself is oversized. It was no heavyweight though and comes in at a pretty impressive 193 grams. In the UK at least this was more expensive than any of the Hope, or PACE front hubs available at the time, and even more money than the Ringle SuperBubba.

Like all of our stock this is unused, new old stock, but it has picked up some marks from storage as pictured.

  • Model: Hardcore DH
  • Weighs 193 grams
  • 100 mm OLN
  • Includes Ti nuts for stiffness, but can be run with a normal 9 mm QR
  • 36 hole
  • Made in Canada

Pair with a Mavic Ceramic rim for ultimate period correctness, we have some here
