These genuine Shimano sealed bearing units are replacements for early 90s 1 1/8″ threaded headsets including STX, LX and XT models. The bearings are sold as a pair and fit Shimano models: HP-MC31 (STX), HP-M741 (Deore XT) and HP-M564 (Deore LX), just unscrew the top cap and the top race from the fork and pull the fork out and you can swap them over – easy!
