Lovely little period piece, this Shimano made chainstay gear cable stop from the 1970s simply clamps onto the chainstay to form a stop for the outer cable, with a small guide hole for the inner cable. Ideal to replace a broken stop, for a frame without cable stops or ingeniously to enable you to run a Shimano AX (aero) rear derailleur with it’s funny in-built cable guide a little more neatly.
