The Suntour TA-170 chain cutter tool is designed for use with their ULRA-6 chains but can be used on any 3/32 chain too. As you’d expect from a Suntour product from this period its impeccably made and seems built to last! With an adjustable set screw on one end this tool, unlike some others, can be easily used to both connect and disconnect old school chain links. Suntour suggest the tool is for ULTRA-6 chains only, I have tried them on a few 3/32″ chains and they worked very well though.
