Sturdy mid-range, mid 80s road rear derailleur from the all-conquering Suntour. The AR* series of parts were a response to Shimano’s AX ‘aero’ groupset parts without the crazy styling and awkward plastic covers on everything. This short cage rear mech is date stamped 1986 and is from the AR II range which seemingly only hung around one year before it was replaced, it is essentially an ARX.
