Description
Beautiful and lightweight Suntour Cyclone mini drivetrain groupset comprising front and rear mechs and shifters from 1985/6. Comprising a short cage (‘S’) rear derailleur, braze on front mech and braze on downtube shifters this set would suit a ‘modern’ mid 80s bike with a full complement of braze ons. In 1985 and 1986 Cyclone was below Superbe Pro and Superbe only in the line up and was considered to be the equivalent of Shimano’s 600 / Ultegra.
The rear derailleur and front derailleur show really nice Cyclone branding and are really well finished in clear anodised silver, the downtube shifters are very light and are friction only, Suntour went big with indexing in the next generation of groupsets. Ideal for use with a six speed freewheel you will have no trouble setting this up over seven or eight gears at the back too.
The rear mech is boxed, the rest is not, the set includes inner cables and a length of genuine Suntour stainless steel outer for the rear mech run, we have some appropriate freewheels and chains to get you running too.
