The Bicyclist Museum Some interesting things, not for sale! Suntour cotton cycling caps – Left hand is a newer one I bought in Japan, the one on the left is an OG late 80s one, but has a snapped peak Specialized composite bottle cages – Some NOS, some rather sun-faded, they obviously made them in a lot of colours! Suntour X1 neon highlight kit 2 – Full set of the weird clip on coloured plastic bits that were to fit the X-1 groupset. At the time the Pros were using a neon yellow highlighted version of the XC Pro group so I think it was just to play off that. Onza purple anodised porcupine thingy – I don’t know what this does, some kind of promo item. AC Components anodised aluminium cassette lockring and tube valve caps, there is even a little logo on the valve caps, bonkers. All the Retrotec Cool Tools – Classic asjustable wrench one, the seatpost quick release and bar end / seatpost bung chain tool Cosmic trail bumbag and top tube protector – What a combo, I use the bumbag sometimes but am always self-conscious about it! Caramba cycles cable pulley – I can’t recall if this is for V brakes or rear derailleurs? PACE Research frame tube bike shop samples – Came from an old shop I worked at, these were samples to show the tube profiles on an RC100. Grey Industries front MTB hub in silver – Early 90s UK made hub from the short-lived chi-chi brand, I have another in red somewhere too… Campagnolo branded steel headset spacer – A weird one, doesn’t appear to belong to any of the headsets or appear in any catalogues. Campagnolo Croce d’Aune / C-Record reverse thread self-removing crank bolts, super specific early 90s bolts. Salsa Cycles cap and beret with pin badge – Both worn on occasion, the beret when I visit Tooting (IYKYK)
