Wonderfully simple but typically well made, the Nitto B230 riser bar is a really nice bit of kit that will look right at home on an old school mountain bike. The 580 mm width is enough to feel wide by 90s standards yet narrow enough to not look out of place while the simple branding and high quality finish are the same as Nitto were offering in the 80s.
I find these days my old ‘race geometry’ mountain bikes are very long and low, especially the rigid ones, so a bar like this really makes the difference to how much I enjoy riding it.
Please note!: The good people at Nitto now put a sticker on the packaging that says “NOTICE – this handle cannot be used for Mountain Bike” caveat emptor.
