During the mid 90s X-Lite were one of the most inventive small British companies at the forefront of lightweight mountain bike upgrade parts, their bar ends were ubiquitous and their titanium handlebar was the stuff of boyhood dreams. They also made a number of more complicated parts including the minimal ‘Chicken Stix’ brake levers available in a wide range of colours, this pair are anodised gold. The pleasing shape and light weight combined with a lower price than a lot of the US made exotica (I’m looking at you Grafton) made them a favourite with UK MTB’ers.
This pair do not have the original barrel adjusters unfortunately, the silver alloy replacements work just as well but obviously aren’t gold, they also have a couple of scuffs underneath the blades from poor storage, they are however unmounted and NOS.
