Description
The seven speed HyperGlide upgrade to Shimano 105 happened in 1992 with the introduction of the 1056 rear hub, this was paired with the earlier 1055 front hub right up until 1998 and the group went up to 8 speed later in it’s life. Like a number of this period Shimano rear hubs the freehub body will also accept a UniGlide (UG) rear cassette as well as a standard HG cassette.
The hubs are typical Shimano quality with loose bearings and good seals and this pair are 32 hole and come with the original skewers. The matte silver/champagne finish on the 1055 series is particularly attractive and looks great as a full grouppo, I do have a number of other items from the group available too.
