Description
One-off, made in the UK coffee tamper built from a saved-from-the-bin Campagnolo Nuovo Record (1034) hub shell bolted to a custom machined lump of stainless billet with a NOS Chris King top cap (oh, and a NOS oiler clip too!). Expertly built by a friend of the Bicyclist to a very high standard these tampers have a 57mm base which suits most commercial and some home machines, (there is a handy guide here) and work with both 58 and 57mm portafilters. Of course they are also a really nice ‘thing’, and I have one on top of my machine even though my current coffee machine doesn’t require the coffee to be tamped!
We have a number of these beautiful and practical coffee tampers, all made from either spoiled NOS shells or hubs that have reached the end of their useful life as a wheel component.
