Description
Nicely made quill stem adaptor for allowing the use of a ‘modern’ Ahead (or threadless) stem with a threaded fork and headset. These will work with all standard 1″ threaded forks (not French threaded!) and tighten up into the steerer tube like a quill stem leaving a section of 1 1/8″ tube to fit an Ahead stem to. Ahead stems are a lot easier to find in high rise, or adjustable dimensions, and are also easily available to fit over-sized 31.8 clamp handlebars.
- Lower shaft is 22.2 mm in diameter for 1″ threaded forks and headsets and is 93 mm tall
- Upper shaft is 1 1/8″ / 28.6 mm in diameter and is 39 mm tall
