Description
The fairly short-lived Alpha series from Suntour was an attempt at offering indexing to the middle of the market. The Alpha parts tended to be fitted OEM on bikes who wanted Suntour quality and this new-fangled indexed gearing whilst keeping the price down. This rear mech is a short cage 6 speed indexed version and has an interesting mix of nicely machined parts and plastic.
I think the little plastic nubbin that comes with it replaces an adjustable B tension bolt to give you more clearance depending on the large sprocket used.
