Suntour New Winner 6 speed freewheel – 13:30

£85.00

Superb quality mid 80s wide ratio freewheel for early MTBs or touring bikes

Out of stock

Description

High quality six speed Suntour New Winner freewheel, with a really useable 13 to 30 tooth ratio that avoids any huge jumps. Suntour freewheels of this time may not have the vintage cache of a Regina but they were equally as well made (OK, better), came in bigger ratios and were easily maintainable and rebuildable. This one has a small cog of 13 and a large of 30, with sprockets getting larger in a sensible way meaning you get a really good spread of gears without a ‘MegaRange’ type leap to the largest sprocket (see last picture for sprocket sizes).

This is a non-Ultra version so works with normal 3/32″ chains and will work on 120, 126 or 130 OLN screw-on hubs. You’ll need a long cage rear mech to fully appreciate this, and it is date stamped for 1984 so is an ideal companion for a Mountech rear mech.

We have plenty of compatible flat bar shifters, downtube shifters and even stem shifters in stock.
