Description
Wonderful and hard to find six speed drivetrain groupset by Suntour featuring their indexed Accushift thumbies, front and rear derailleurs, a freewheel, chain and cables all in the original box and with instructions. The XCD 4050 group was released in 1988 when Suntour were right on top of their game, offering some of the best quality components for the new-ish sport of mountain biking before Shimano took over the market. This boxed set has survived for 30 years intact and aside from a little washing out of the colour of the box everything inside is still untouched, making it either a great display piece or the ideal one-shot rebuild kit.
The box includes the following components:
- Accushift thumbshifters, 6 x 3 with friction mode, standard bar clamp, model SL-4050-CH
- Long cage rear derailleur, model RD-4050-GX
- Front derailleur, 28.6 clamp, bottom pull with cable stop if required, model FD-4050-GX
- Six speed freewheel, Alpha model 14:28 ratios, model FW-AL00-R6
- 3/32″ chain by HKK Japan, 116 links, model TZ-6000
- Suntour branded compression-less outer gear cable and inner gear cables
- Instructions for the shifters, front mech and rear mech
