These mid 90s Pulstar hubs in grey are a mountain bike classic that were a good value upgrade and were also specced on some forward thinking OTP bikes. Laced using straight pull spokes they look great when built into wheels and the design has since been used repeatedly on high end road and MTB wheelsets in the 2010s. With a Shimano compatible freehub capable of running 7, 8, 9 and 10 speed cassettes they are very versatile, the standard 100 mm front, 135 mm rear OLN is ideal for most retro MTBs.
The finish of these hubs is good, they have been stored poorly though so despite being unlaced and unused there are some marks and scratches – nothing too bad though, and they are mechanically very good.
