Description
Suntour specific 6 speed CS-AP00-S6R cassette with one threaded sprocket for Suntour’s proprietary freehub design, from the 1990 XC Pro and XC Comp MTB groupsets. This freehub and cassette design was new for 1990 and only appeared on the top end groupsets, we have these cassettes available with a 28, 30 or 32 tooth largest sprocket. Although constant innovation was part of what made Suntour great it was key to it’s downfall with an over-complicated number of specific cassettes, chains, derailleurs and shifters across road and MTB groups that weren’t inter-compatible and were updated yearly!
If it isn’t immediately clear which cassette you need your best bet is to measure the length of the splines on the freehub body; 6 speed = 23.7 mm; 7 speed = 26.1 mm; 8 speed = 30.8 mm; 7 speed Micro Drive (MD) = 20.7 mm; 8 speed MD = 25.4 mm.
