Description
Late 80s Suntour XC Sport 7000 combination levers, model CL-XC10, with four finger brake levers and built-in thumb shifters. These lack the finesse of the XC 9000 combination levers but as you’d expect from Suntour they are very nicely made. The brake lever blades are ‘composite’ (plastic) and the thumbshifters look pleasingly vintage in their silver finish. The thumbies have both friction and indexed Accushift modes for 6 speed, they can be used with any rear mech mech across a wide range of gears in friction mode but need to be used with another Accushift rear mech and Suntour 6 speed freewheel or cassette.
The XC Sport 7000 group was introduced in 1987 and these combination levers were available in standard Power Control format (ratcheted friction) or I/F/C format for switchable Accushift indexed or Friction (these are the I/F/C version).
